On the grounds is the remains of a 13th Century Castle described by agents James Dean, who are handling, the sale as being "perched on a motte approximately six meters high is the original stone keep which is a scheduled ancient monument maintained by CADW and is listed among the best-preserved examples of the 13th century round stone tower fortifications characteristic of the Welsh Marches."

On the ground floor there is a spacious entrance hall with stairs off, a wonderful living room with bay window, wooden floorboards and a wood burning stove. This leads through to the dining room, creating a lovely space to entertain.

"There is also a kitchen/breakfast room, toilet and two en-suite bedrooms. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, a shower room, bathroom and kitchen/diner. There is also a large sitting room which could be used as one room or split into two with one section being used as another bedroom."

There is also a converted barn which has been given "an open plan kitchen/living/dining room mostly open to the underside of the roof. It has full length central windows and doors, painted stone walls, a wood burning stove and range of kitchen units.

"A circular stairs leads to a mezzanine floor over the kitchen ideal for an office or an extra bedroom."

The whole site is situated just outside the Brecon Beacons National Park meaning you are surrounded by "glorious countryside" and there are "plenty of wonderful walks on your doorstep".

Not surprisingly the price tag is quite high, with offers starting at £1.7 million. For further information about the property contact James Dean Estate Agents.
